Great new rallying photo archive

Whilst trawling through some old nostalgic rallying notes, I thought I would just stick a few of the names I found into Google's search, and low and behold I came across this great photo archive going back years and years.

The site is called club photo.

Amongst the member pages I came across this little gem. Its not just road rally photos, there are literally hundreds of different photos to view.

I recommend you take a look.

Can you believe this, the most outrageous quad vehicle on this or any other planet for that matter.

Built around a Subaru STi rally car motor – with 228 bhp pushing along just 530 kg, the STi-ATV is the result of thousands of hours of work by New Zealand Motorsport enthusiast Ken Brough. Why did he build it? “Why not?”, says Ken, who will make the vehicle available for demonstrations and auto shows.

I find this service really useful for locating marshal points for local motor club rallies, without having to invest in maps that I don’t have or need on a regular basis.

FIRST PIC: Suzuki SX4 WRC ‘Concept’ car.

Following the departure of Peugeot, Mitsubishi and Skoda from the World Rally Championship at the end of last season, it is encouraging to see Suzuki release the first picture of their SX4 WRC ‘concept’ car, which will go on display at the Geneva Motorsport Show in late February.

In times when the rally scene look a bit sad, if this has half the spectator value of the recent Ignis/S1600 cars, then the sooner it reaches the stages the better.
